“I and the one who takes care of an orphan will be in Paradise like this,” is the saying of the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, as mentioned in the hadith of Sahl ibn Sa’d al-Sa’idi, where the Prophet pointed with his index and middle fingers and separated them when he said that hadith. Thus, this noble hadith indicates the status of the one who takes care of an orphan, that he will be in Paradise in the company of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace. It also indicates the great status of the service of taking care of an orphan, which is what the Diwan of Zakat in Djibouti is concerned with in particular.
